Antibes & Antibes cape

High houses, paving and small streets, spiced atmosphere, you are in the old Antibes. Ancient city, it is there where all started, when Antibes was still called Antipolis. Along the streets, you could enjoy many traces of this rich past. Walking up the "rock", you arrive to the imposing "Château Grimaldi", which includes the Picasso Museum. Behind this building, you can see and the ramparts, built by the architect Vauban.

The landscape of the "Cap d'Antibes" is a breathtaking panorama. The area was still uninhabited 150 years ago; the growth of the "Cap d'Antibes" was then encouraged by several rich people in the 19th and 20th century. Sumptuous villas were then built preceded by the construction of big hotels.
